Snow storm and Low-Temperature Advisory – This Weekend
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for New York City this weekend, with heavy snowfall late Saturday night through Monday afternoon. Forecast models indicate the potential for 6-12+ inches of snow across the NYC area, depending on the storm’s track. Temperatures are also expected to drop sharply into the teens, with wind chills falling below 5 degrees.
In preparation for the storm and extremely cold weather, the building staff is performing standard pre-storm procedures, including checking building systems, roofs, drains, and other common areas that may be affected by the snow.
Be sure to close and lock any windows or make arrangements to send someone to your apartment to do so if you are out of town. We have found that the most significant damage to an apartment and personal property can occur when windows are inadvertently left open during a storm.
Additionally, residents should sign up for Notify NYC here, the city’s official source for emergency alerts and important city services.
And lastly...........Be a Buddy! Get to know our neighbors and check in with them, especially older adults or people with disabilities.
In the event of an emergency, our Customer Care associates are available 24/7/365 at 212.634.8911 to assist you.
We appreciate your cooperating as we prepare for this winter storm. Please stay warm, stay safe, and monitor official NYC alerts for ongoing updates.
